IBMS (HK branch) organized a seminar on Stem Cell Transplantation Service, attended by almost 50 members and non-members.
Mr. Thomas Hin-Ching Wong, Supervisor of HKSH Stem Cell Laboratory, was our invited speaker and delivered an introduction to stem cell technology and its establishment in medical therapy for patient hematopoietic transplantation of leukemia and lymphoma, enforcing the fact that this is a cutting-edge scientific innovation that is likely to help shape the future of transplantation medicine, with plenty more of other diseases being researched for the use of stem cell therapy.
The committee would like to extend a warm appreciation to Mr. Wong for his highly enchanting and educational talk.
