It has come to our attention that a fraudulent website called “MLT CPD Event Sharing Platform”, link mltcpd.com, has been reported by HKSMDS Limited. Clicking this link may result in your personal information being stolen by scammers.
The official and legitimate platform, called “MLT CPD Sharing Platform System” with the link www.hkmltcpd.org, is managed by the Hong Kong Society for Molecular Diagnostic Sciences Limited.
The Committee would like to remind members to be vigilant and not to click on links in suspicious emails or messages purporting to connect to the CPD event sharing platform.

Laboratory Equipment Calibration
IBMS (HK) branch organized a seminar on Laboratory Equipment Calibration on 7 May 2024 at the Lecture Hall of the Federation of Medical Societies. It was well attended by over 70 members and non-members.
The speakers, Mr. Chan Kam Hung Beny and Mr. Chan Nam Kwan of the Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service, gave their expert insights into the technical specifics and methods of calibrating all kinds of laboratory equipment. It was a topic of broad interest to all areas of Pathology, and the audience were captivated by the information disseminated by the speakers.
The committee would hereby like to extend a very warm appreciation to both speakers for their time and shared knowledge. The speakers have generously allowed us to share with all IBMS members their seminar material, which can be viewed by clicking the link below. The material will be available for one month.
